Nelum Hansani

 A teacher who is like a friend. My music teacher is Mrs. Priyanwada Mala. She is 52 years old. She is married. She has two children👨‍👩‍👧‍👦. She resides in Elpitiya and works at G/St, Teresa Girls' College. She studied at the University of Visual and Performing Arts😊. My teacher has a beautiful voice and she can play many different instruments. She tries very hard to teach the children all the subject matter she knows🤗. Every child is the same for her. She also gives the necessary advice to the children to progress. I have seen her happy to see her students progress🤗. She helped us a lot even though there were many obstacles in our education process due to the calamities of the country. She covered the syllabus without charging us anything. She is very kind. She likes to be peaceful. I respect her a lot and always wish her well❤❤😊. ❤

  My first work experience. After high school I applied to university and looked for a job while at home. A friend of mine got a job opportunity and she couldn't join it so I got that opportunity. I got the job at Rasota Tea Factory☕🍵. It was 10 km from my house. The first thing I had to do was check the CCTV📷. Later I was assigned to balance of the green leaf books. Then I was assigned to computerize the weight of the leaves🍀💚. Little by little I learned to work. Later I did the work of processing employee wages, issuing green bills, issuing cheques, etc. I was also assigned tasks in word, excel. Later tea leaves were issued and computerized, fertilizers were issued and computerized etc. I was very happy working there. I went to work at 8 in the morning and left work at 4.30 in the evening.  A brother like a father. I have a brother who cares like a father🥰. He is Ashen Shanaka. He is 27 years old. The age difference between us is 6 years. He now lives in South Korea🇰🇷. He went K/ Gangasiripura College from Grade 1 to Grade 11. He went to G/ St. Mary's College for Advanced. From the year 2019, with the aim of going abroad, the necessary arrangements were made☹️. But due to the crisis conditions in the country, his work was hampered😞. But in September of last year, he went abroad🙂.                 All expenses for my education are borne by him🥺. He gives me everything I ask for. Even in a foreign country, he always looks after me and gives me protection. He eats different foods and he sends me photos of those foods.🍜🍙🍘 He wants to see me study well and get in good shape. Even though he didn't say it, I know he loves me very much. I always wish him well.

The king & queen of my world . My parents are the king 🤴  and queen 🫅  of my world 👑🌎👑 .  My father is Wijesinghe. His age is 61. My father is currently not working. My father's first job was a machine operator👨‍🔧 in Maliban. Later he left it and came to the village to grow vegetables👨‍🌾 as a job. Crops such as tomatoes🍅, beans, cabbage🥬, carrots🥕 were grown there. He worked hard to earn money and spend it on my brother and me. Father has a small tea estate🍀, so now he is maintaining it. My mother is Champa. She died of a heart attack 13 years ago😥😢. She died when I was 7 years old☹️, so I don't have a clear memory😖 of her. I am sad about it😞😢. I have some memories because I have her photos.  Her job was sewing🧵🪡🧶.  I remember she sewed different styles of clothes for me👗 They also prepared different types of foo🍜🍛🥪🌭🍗🍚.   About me. I'm Nelum Hansani☺️. I am 21 years old. I am a first year student at the University of Visual and Performing Arts. My hometown is Gampola. Later came to Elpitiya with my family. I studied from grade 1 to 5 at K/Morahena Primary School . Studied at St. Teresa's Girls' College from grade 6 to 13. Music🎶  is my favorite subject. I participated in various music programs and competitions🎤 during my school days.  I am a non-social person, so I don't have many friends. That's my weakness😖. One of my favorite foods is ice cream ice cream🍦🍦🍦. Also, I like to eat different foods 🍔🍟️🌮🍜🍛🍚🥪🌭. I like to go to the beach🌊. When you go to the beach, you feel a strange sense of freedom. Also, I like to listen to music with earphones 🎧 in my free time. I don't like sports, but I like chess♟️. I like to be nice and tidy. I always try to be happy☺️.

 A day of freedom. Last 14th, I and some of my friends went to visit Galle Fort. We traveled by train🚆. It was a rainy day🌧️☔. The rain bathed us well . At noon the sun shone🌤️🌞. We sat down in one place and sang a lot of songs. Then we ate ice cream 🍦🍦 . We walked a lot of distance, and took a lot of photos📷. There is a juice bar run by an army camp at one of the gates exiting the Galle Fort. It has different types of drinks. We drank avocado🥑🥑 juice from there🍹. We took a lot of photos. But it was hampered by high winds there🌀🌀. Afterwards we went to Dharmapala Park. When we went there, it was around 2 in the afternoon. We had lunch there🍚🍚. We walked in the park and took photos as well. Later, when we left the park, there was a "Achcharu" shop near the exit.  One month new life. Last year, December was a special day☺️. The 12th of that month was the starting day that added a new experience to my life. That was the day I first stepped into the university🤗🤗.  Although that day was a very happy day, it was not without fear🥲🥲.  The biggest challenge I had was making friends😣😣. It's a challenge for me because I'm a non-social person.☹️ So I was very scared. But after one or two days, I met new friends. I have met friends who help me🥰🥰. I also help them in any way possible. One of the favorite places in the university is the canteen😂😂. Its food is delicious😋😋.  Every building in the university looks the same😅. Therefore, it was difficult for us to find lecture halls in the early days. Our seniors helped us🤗. We had to use the stairs. So it was one of the words we do not like😪😤😇.
